History
Marmaduke Properties commenced business in 2009 trading as Marmaduke Property Management.
Initially the business focussed on property management, residential letting and commercial retail letting in the southern suburbs of Cape Town.
We have a proven track record of astute management and success through smart decision making on tenant selection, lease negotiation and rent reviews resulting in optimal returns on investments for landlords combined with tenant retention and satisfaction.
Growth and Expansion
Following on our success, in 2014 the decision was made to expand the business with a new focus on growing both the business footprint and our service offering to focus on:
- The entire greater Cape Town area of the Western Cape, and
- Letting in the broader commercial and industrial market of offices, retail premises, warehouses, light industrial units, factories, developments and vacant land
In order to better reflect our full service offering the business now trades as Marmaduke Properties.
The residential letting and residential property management service continues to be offered to individual property owners and investors.
Ownership and operations
The business is owned and run by Basil Mildenhall who combines more than 20 years of practical property market experience and success with the formal qualifications of B.Com P.D.A. CA (SA).
Basil is more than a Chartered Accountant. He brings a wealth of business experience - from audit, finance and investments in the corporate environment to manufacturing and services as an astute and entrepreneurial businessman in the small business environment.
He also has the additional property qualifications of STPM (Paddocks-UCT) and Master Practitioner Real Estate (Estate Agency Affairs Board).
Basil prides himself on his professionalism and integrity in all of his dealings. He is detail oriented and will take the time to carefully listen to you and address the particular needs of your business.
